This AA rechargeable NiMH 1.2v battery is suitable for some, not all AMB160 and AMB260 transponders.

It is good practice to change the batteries in these units occasionally to ensure accurate and reliable operation of the transponder.

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to determine if this is correct without removing the original battery or batteries from the unit. There is no way of being able to tell from the exterior or the unit number.
